I love how it turned out, and any individual element would be cute, but combined into a heart is perfection.

LEGO Minifigure Printable Valentines
It’s February again! That means it is time to make another set of school valentines! This year my 5 year old is OBSESSED with LEGOs and so that was the theme he wanted for his school Valentines.
This is what I came up with:

A lego minfig on a card featuring the phrase “When you are my Valentine everything is awesome"
Cute right? Especially cute when you make dozens of them:

Every valentine has a different character (wouldn’t it be cute if you matched the mini-figs with the recipients? I wasn’t patient enough for that.. but you could!)
You Are On In A Melon - Watermelon Candy School Valentines

Valentine’s day is fast approaching and I’m putting together our annual school valentines.

30 Free Printable Star Wars Valentines
Anyone who knows me knows I am sort of crazy about Star Wars. Like CRAZY!! And my kids are the same way too. So I have been looking up cute free printable school valentine ideas from other bloggers that are Star Wars themed.
Shockingly, I’ve never done one myself, but there are so many fantastic Star Wars school valentines already floating around on Pinterest that I figured I could just use one of them. But deciding which was my favorite was nearly impossible. So I have rounded up 25 of my favorites.

How to Make 3D Folded Paper Pumpkin With Your Cricut Scoring Wheel
It may only be the end of August, but I already have fall on my mind! So today I am crafting PUMPKINS! Why? Because if fall had to choose a vegetable mascot, it would be the pumpkin!
These shimmery and glittery paper pumpkins feature two different types of materials. Orange foil posterboard as well as copper shimmer paper. Since the only thing better than pumpkins are GLITTERY pumpkins.
How to Make a 3D Folded Paper Apple
I have shared exactly how the Cricut scoring wheels work in previous posts, and today I wanted to just share this adorable project idea, perfect for the start of a new school year.
This is a three dimensional folded apple made out of nothing more than cardstock and a bamboo skewer. It would be super cute with a gift card attached as a teacher gift, or you could add names to the leaves as place cards in the fall. You could also use it as a gift topper or make a bunch and fill a basket for holiday decor.
And it takes nothing more than 2 sheets of cardstock! YES! So simple!
Free Printable Snake School Valentines
It is that time of year again.. SCHOOL VALENTINE TIME! And once again, I'm hitting the dollar store to find affordable bulk trinkets that will make good Valentine SWAG!
This year my four year old picked out these little plastic snakes. (Since nothing says "I love you" like a poisonous viper!)
Easy Embroidery Floss Tassels
I have seen these cute tassel keychains and cell phone danglers popping up in local stores and online, so I wanted to show you just how easy it is to make your own. Embroidery Floss Tassels can be made in almost ANY color, since there are limitless types and colors of floss. Plus with the metallics and reflective polyester fibers you can get some gorgeous tassels.
You could also hand these tassels off a backpack or on a purse, or even use them in decorating. Make them in holiday colors and turn them into Christmas ornaments. They really are just that versatile.
Plus they come together in about 2 minutes. YES.. they are seriously that fast. I put together a video to show you exactly how quick they come together.
SUPPLY LIST:
Jewelry Rings (with claw clasps)Super Glue
Scissors (I obsessed with the non-stick teflon kind)
Standard Embroidery Floss or
Radiant Treasures Embroidery Floss (as seen in tutorial) or
Light Effects/Metallic Embroidery Floss
TUTORIAL:
Step 1:Pull out approximately 24 inches of floss from the skein and set aside.
Step 2:
Slide the sleeve of the skein down to one end but don’t remove it completely.
Step 3:
Slide the ring over the sleeve on the skein.
Step 4:
Slide the ring off the sleeve and into the center of the skein. You can remove the sleeve at this point.
Step 5:
Fold the skein in half on the ring. You want to make sure you have lined up both ends, since that is the bottom of your soon to be tassel.
Take the extra 24 inches of floss and wrap it around the very top of the tassel, just below the ring. You want to make it as tight as you can.
Step 7:
Tie off with a square knot. Again, you would like this to be as tight as possible so the tassel doesn’t loosen up.
Apply a tiny drop of super glue to the knot. This is to keep it from unwrapping, especially once you trim the ends. Allow to dry completely.
Trim the ends of the knot. You can use a needle to push the knot up and under the wrapped thread to hide it.
Cut the loops apart, making sure you have them as even as possible.
Hold the loose ends in a closed fist and cut them off even with a sharp scissors.
This will make a little bit of a mess.
Now you just need to fluff the tassel and separate the floss into it’s individual threads. This gives it fullness and makes it look really expensive.
This is such a fast and easy project, that looks a lot more complicated than it really is. You could make a bunch of tassels in no time!
"It is Great to Be Eight" Birthday Treats
When my oldest daughter turned eight (a few years ago now) we needed a quick and easy favor to bring to school for her classmates. I originally got the idea for a little "8" made out of donuts from Kendra of Me and My Insanity. We didn't want an entire party with an 'Eight is Great!' theme, but the favors were perfect.
No Sew Fusible T-Shirt Applique
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of JOANN. All opinions are 100% mine.
Have you ever seen one of those cute appliqué shirts at boutique shops and think “I love this but I can’t sew”?
Well, today I am solving that problem for you. There is a super quick and easy way to create appliqué and all it takes is your IRON. Yes!
Turn Kids Artwork into Embroidery Designs
I love encouraging my kids to be creative and make things, which is one of the reasons I have the kids’ artwork gallery wall, to display all their fun artwork.
I recently took the free embroidery class on Craftsy and I wanted to try my hand at a quick project, but instead of using some stock embroidery pattern, I thought it would be fun to use my kids’ artwork.
Three Dimensional Perler Bead Planters
My kids have really gotten into Perler beads this summer. I shared a few of their projects on Instagram lately, and they got me all fired up to play along too.
