Distressed Dollar Store Pumpkins with a Crackle Finish
Day 3 of Dollar Store Pumpkin Week! We’ve had rope and glitter and today is a simple distressed finish. The same finish I’ve shared before. Crackled with wood glue and then distressed with a glaze.
The drastic change for this project is really clear when you put the before and after side by side:
20 Fabulous Fall (Not Specifically Thanksgiving or Halloween) Mantels
I love fun holiday mantels, but I know not everyone has time to change out their theme every few weeks. In the early fall, you can put up an autumn inspired mantelscape and it can last all the way until Christmas as long as you don't focus on a Thanksgiving or Halloween theme.
So today I have 20 gorgeous mantel ideas that are GENERIC fall, and NOT a more specific holiday. No turkeys, no spiderwebs no "Give Thanks" wording. Just leaves and pumpkins and all around prettiness.

15 Modern Fall Cross Stitch Patterns
I know cross stitchers never really need an excuse to find new patterns, but IF they did, than the beautiful changes of seasons would be the perfect one! With fall right on the horizon, pumpkin spice lattes are showing up everywhere and I’m feeling really excited about sweater and get-to-skip-shaving-my-legs season!
So what better way to celebrate than gathering up 15 beautiful fall inspired cross stitch pieces. None of these are the traditional farmhouse scene with pumpkins and leaves, but are more modern takes on the Autumn season. Grab your embroidery hoop and some Aida and get started on one of them right now!
Fall Door Decor From Dollar Store Bowls
These are metallic acrylic (plastic) bowls or candy dishes. I thought they were really cool, especially when they catch the light, and so I thought they would be the perfect front door decor!
Instead of creating wreath out of them, I thought they would look good as a swag, similar to my scroll saw candy corn that I loved to much.
15 Witchy Cross Stitch Patterns
I love that witches can be scary and creepy or they can be funny and cutesy. Witches are the perfect motif for Halloween. Check out these 15 counted cross stitch patterns all based on witches.. great for Halloween or all year long!
How to Make 3D Folded Paper Pumpkin With Your Cricut Scoring Wheel
It may only be the end of August, but I already have fall on my mind! So today I am crafting PUMPKINS! Why? Because if fall had to choose a vegetable mascot, it would be the pumpkin!
These shimmery and glittery paper pumpkins feature two different types of materials. Orange foil posterboard as well as copper shimmer paper. Since the only thing better than pumpkins are GLITTERY pumpkins.
