Thanksgiving Mantle Featuring Reclaimed Lumber Turkey Silhouette

I am not one of those people who jumps directly from Halloween to Christmas.  In fact, I don't usually start dragging my Christmas stuff out until the day after Thanksgiving.  So at our house, the Autumn/Thanksgiving decorations are still taking center stage.

This  year I am featuring my reclaimed pallet wood artwork:

Instead of my typical swag banner, this time I decided to make a few giant bows out of some "Thankful" ribbon I found on clearance at the craft store this summer.

Some small baking pumpkins leftover from halloween along with a sheaf of wheat that I picked up for $7 at Home Goods.

I used some goodwill candlesticks to add a little more height to the shorter objects, like my little raffia turkey.

I had these rough woodblock pumpkins in my Thanksgiving stash (I won them as a door prize at a party a long time ago.)

The perfect mantle for any house hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year!

The other fireplace in the house is still featuring my more generic fall mantlescape.  You can see more details about that one here.

  3. Oh my gosh! This is so funny, but when you left that comment I was freaked out for a second since I've never linked up to a party called "ThatWhatCheSaid" and so I had to google it. Then I realized it is the FundayMonday party and I linked up at Uncommonly Living (they just show up on all 5 blogs!) *WHEW* I was paranoid that someone was linking up my posts without telling me.. Bwa-ha-ha-ha!
