Today's craft is so simple you are going to wonder why you didn't think of it yourself.
Rae Dunn Eggs and Crocheted Carrots
These Rae Dunn inspired easter eggs feature the signature skinny hand-written style font and some cute Easter words.   You could also personalize them with names, which would be fun for little easter baskets.

The process for making them is pretty much identical to that of the Rae Dunn Ornaments I shared at Christmas time, and I made a short video of the process so you can see just hot quickly they come together.

Supplies:

- Eggs (you could use real eggs, or plastic eggs or even these cute paper mache eggs) this unopenable version is the exact type I used since i thought they looked the most realistic and gave the most "Rae Dunn" feel without having a seam.
- Black Vinyl
- Transfer Paper or Contact Paper
-Scissors (I like the teflon coated ones when working with sticky vinyl)
- Weeding Tool
- Silhouette Cameo or Cricut Explore

1. Measure your eggs and type the words you want into the Silhouette Studio software or the Cricut Design space.  Make sure you have sized them small enough to fit on the eggs.  The font is THE SKINNY from DaFont. (It is free for personal use, you need an alternative if you are making commercial products!)

2. Cut the words out of regular adhesive vinyl.

3. Remove the excess vinyl, leaving the words on the backer paper.

Tip: I find it works best to weed from the bottom of the text, holding the delicate letters down with my weeding tool. The will want to pull up since they are so tiny, so you have to be careful.

4. Once you words are weeded it is time to transfer.

Trim the transfer tape closely and clip around the edges to make it easier to apply to a the round shape of the egg. Trimming transfer paper for vinyl easter eggs
6. Press the letters one by one onto the egg and carefully remove the transfer tape.  And there you have it!  A basket full of Rae Dunn inspired eggs!    Perfect for Easter!
